Papillon Potpourri

Well, I woke up this morning only to realize I forgot to schedule my post today, and on top of that my internet was down. lol That's just the way it goes sometimes.  Well all is good now, so on to showing you my cards.  I like to tuck 3x3 cards as thank yous in my orders, and they're so fun and easy to make too.  I bought the set Papillon Potpourri not too long ago and decided to play with it a little bit.  So easy to make these butterflies!  Just stamp, punch and sponge. :)

For You ~ Bridal Shower Card

Well, I must say, today's card is definitely not the norm for me!  The design and the 3-D flower both are, but not the colors!  Where did I happen to find this combination?  From Stampin' Celebration...who just happened to move their blog.  Yup, I was wondering where they had disappeared to, so I had to check out their next challenge which happened to be gray, yellow and white with just a touch of green.  Lucky for me I just bought a shower gift for someone and needed gray on a card to go with the wrapping paper that this particular store offers.  I must say I really like how this card turned out.  Glad I gave it a try. :)

Delicate Doilies and Serene Silhouettes

Today I have 3x3 thank you's in a gift box and a small gift bag (perfect for any kind of chocolate! lol) to show you.  I really enjoyed making the cards and box because I was just staring out with my first of sixteen things. lol  My gift bag was the last thing, but I didn't want to just do cards.  Yup, I was running out of steam (and time), but loved every minute I had to sit and create everything.  It had been so long since I was able to take a couple of days to be crafty for more than one quick thing at a time.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Hello Kitty Birthday

Today's post is a tradition I've started with my nieces for their birthdays...making them a purse and card, then putting a couple of other fun things in it.  I saw a Hello Kitty pattern by Lynn Pratt here and thought it would be the perfect thing for a four year old.  So cute!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Halloween

Since today is Halloween I'm going to post a few pics of our Halloween tradition along with one little card I made.  I never really had my kids dress up and do trick or treating a whole lot while they were little.  A couple of times I did sew outfits that they were able to use as pajamas once Halloween was done. What we really got into was carving pumpkins...and sometimes making pumpkin seeds.  We did that this year...yummy!  Anyway, here are a few pics for you to enjoy...

I made this 3x3 thank you for my upline Glenda who is always so willing to let us borrow her stuff when we need to...thank you!  I don't have any stamping stuff that is Halloweenish (not sure that's even a word, but I'm using it), so I figured I could make a couple of pumpkins out of punches to put on cards that I've seen around and thought were pretty cute.

My pumpkin is the daschund, Erica's is the bat, Ryan's is the spider & web and Rachel's is the "haunted" house.

I had to get my two doggies sitting by the daschund pumpkin! :)  They look so obedient and like they enjoy having their pics taken...ha ha, I wish!  My daughters were bribing them with food to get them to sit still like that. They are really longingly staring at the food being held right by the camera! lol

3x3 "Thank Yous"

Well, I'm sitting here on a peaceful Sunday afternoon, and figured I could take a few minutes to update my blog since I've been neglecting it way too much this summer!  I wasn't sure what card to start with and thought I might as well just start putting them up in the order I have them saved, so here goes...  Whenever I borrow anything from other demos in my area or have an order I use 3x3's for thank yous.  I just tuck it in the bag when I return what I've borrowed, or put it in with my customer's order when I drop their supplies off.  They're quick and easy to make and I love them!

I got the design for this from a card swap I was in, but changed the colors.  Wish I could give the lady who came up with it the credit , but it's been almost a year since I was in the swap and don't remember. :(

Not only do I send thank yous, but get them in return.  I got this from my stamping friend Christi when she returned a bag to me...I love this 3x3!  Thanks, Christi!

3x3 Elements of Style

Today's cards are 3x3's that would be nice to give away as a little gift set.  I just had the idea to use the flowers from Elements of Style and emboss them in white on some bold colors and this is what I came up with.  I'm not sure which one is my favorite, but one of my daughters said she liked the "pink" one the best.

3x3 "Thank You" Notecards

Today's cards are 3x3's that I made to send out as "Thank Yous".  I like to put a little thank you card in every one's bag whenever they place an order with me.  I actually type out the thank you note on another sheet of paper, so when they get this card they can use it to send to someone else.  I love making 3x3's because they're so quick and easy.  You can make eight cards if you use a 12"x12" piece of card stock.

Yes, this set is retired, but I still use it anyway because I love flowers.  I think I actually borrowed this set from a friend...I'd better return it to her some time!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Carnations!

A few days ago I said I was going to be making some more carnations, after all they are my favorite flower.  When I saw the The Paper Players challenge to make anything that brings spring to mind I couldn't resist, and the Stamping 411 Challenge was the perfect sketch to use for the idea I had going on in my mind.

Yesterday I also made this little 3x3 thank you for a friend.

I guess the only downside to these cards is you'd have to mail them in a box!

If you didn't see my other post on how to make carnations and would like to see how, click here.  Oh, before I forget, I did use deckle scissors for these two cards, just to see if I liked it.  I think either way works!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Baby Buggy

Today I have a 3x3 card for a baby shower that's coming up soon.  What color do you make the card when you don't know if it's a boy or girl?  A mixture like this.  The green and yellow just didn't seem to be working out, so I put just a touch of each color in with a lot of white!

3x3 Card Swap

Here are two cards I did in a 3X3 card swap.  The first one is made with Elegant Eggplant, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla and Garden Green cardstock.  I used the Butterfly Extra-Large punch to make the pansy.  I sponged on Elegant Eggplant, then Marina Mist.  The second card was done with Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Marina Mist cardstock.
