Fancy Fold Flip Card

Hi again, Everyone.  Today I have a different kind of card for you.  Over at the Friday Mashup Cindy's really mashing it up with a fun fold project and polka dots.  Here's the challenge...

Create a project with "Polka Dots".
Create a project with a "Fun Fold".
or Mash it Up! and create a "Fun Fold project with some Polka Dots"!

The reason my card is different is because of all the folds in it.  I made one of these years ago, and though to myself, "Why don't you make another one of those flip cards?".  I don't know what I was thinking! lol  Making the flip part isn't so hard, but deciding what to put on it and adding a bunch of layers is what's hard...that's why it's all one layer, meaning I decided to stamp directly on the flip part of the card.  It didn't turn out too badly, but because I didn't add the layers you can see what's on other parts of the card through the cracks.  Like I said I did make it a long time ago and totally forgot about that.  I also forgot the polka dots part of the card.  I got so wrapped up in making each of the "pages" that I totally forgot about the dots unless you consider what I put on the first "page" as dots. :)  Make sure you head on over to the Friday Mashup HERE to see what kind of folds all the other designers put on their cards, then show us what you can do too.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Fall Field Flowers

It's Tuesday so that means it's time for another card for the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge.  Besides the sketch, this week's twist is to use orange on your sample.  Since I haven't used Field Flowers in a while I thought I'd stamp the flowers in Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango.  Don't forget to visit HERE to see what the other designers made and to make a card yourself.  This one is pretty quick and simple! :)

Yeah, I got carried away with pictures this time since I actually liked a bunch that I took.  I don't usually get so many that turn out.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

RHSSC - Field Flower...again!

It's Sunday so it's time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge card.  Yup, I used the same colors I've been using for the past week just like I said I would since there was not a lot of time and no space left on my craft table to get out new colors!  Tomorrow I'll start posting some of the swaps I got at convention this weekend.  And now don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made for this week's sketch challenge HERE.

Convention Swaps

Today I am in Salt Lake City, Utah for my first Stampin' Up! convention so I thought I'd show you the cards I made to swap.  All I can say is I was crazy to make this card!  When I made regional cards I was able to whip up 30 cards in 2 1/2 hours, but not this time!  Too many steps, but once I come up with an idea that I like there's no changing my mind.  So here's my stack...

And one up close in the pile.

Pillow Gifts for Convention

I sure don't know how some ladies can post on their blogs everyday.  All I know is they are a LOT better than me!  Anyway, today's post is all about pillow gifts for convention because that's where I'm headed! :)  I put together four 3x3 cards with envelopes and some Ghirardelli chocolates for everyone.  Do you remember on Sunday I said you'd see a lot of the stamp set Field Flowers this week?  I wasn't kidding...and you'll still be seeing more.  At least today's cards use the new in colors. :)

RHSSC 97 - Field Flowers

Well, it's a good thing it's Sunday and time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge or I might not be posting on here...kind of like this past week.  I should have a few things this coming week since I've been working on gifts for the ladies I'll be staying with at convention this week. :)  I've also been working away at my swap cards.  I came up with something I liked with way too many steps, but that's what I'm doing anyway because I like it! :)  One reason I mentioned all of this is because a lot of posts are going to involve this stamp set and most of them will be this color.  Why?  Because that's what's all over my craft table so I figured that's what I would use. :)  So here it today's card which I must say was challenging for me!  Don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made on their blog HERE.

HSS - Island Indigo Field Flowers

Today's card is an attempt to make a clean and simple card for a card party I'm having next week.  I used the Hand Stamped Sentiments color Challenge #157 to make this card.  I wasn't too sure about the colors, but think I managed to make them work pretty well. :)

Gray and Pink Field Flowers

Here's yet another version of a card I made a couple of months ago.  I didn't want just black and white, or just pinks like I used on my other cards so I did gray and pink.  I was actually trying to use my two-tone pink pirouette/rose red ribbon, but ended up liking the gray better.  Changes seem to happen to me a lot when I'm making cards. lol

Remember today is the last day to get free shipping from Stampin' Up!  If you order $25 or more you can be entered into my Mystery Hostess drawing, but you must enter the code SGA9YWFY on my website in order to be eligible.  You will be entered one time for every $25 that you order before tax.  The hostess benefits will be based on the $$$ of sales I receive, and follow the same chart listed in the catalog (see below).  However if you order $150 or more you don't want to enter the code because you will be your own hostess and receive the benefits yourself.

RHSSC - Warmest Wishes

Well, I'm back again for the Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge after taking a break last week.  I must say this challenge was definitely a hard one for me.  I was tempted to turn it upside down and try something, but I couldn't come up with anything I was satisfied with.  You don't even want to know what my husband and daughter were telling me to do! lol  Don't forget to check out the other Red Hots' sketches here

Christmas Gifts...

Good morning on this last day of 2012!  Wow has this year flown by!  I'm sure most of you feel the same way too.  Well today's cards are actually gifts that I made for my family for Christmas.  I made six packs of four cards each with a variety of different sayings...and everyone a different color except I made two sets with Island Indigo.  I actually enjoyed making these cards too.  Sometimes when I'm stressed and need to get cards done I don't have any fun at all, but I really enjoyed making these this year. :)

No boxes this time though.  I quickly packaged them up in Stampin' Up! 6 x 8 cellophane bags so they could choose the color of cards they wanted.  I sure wish the pictures turned out better because they were SO much prettier in person, but I was in a hurry to take pics they didn't turn out the greatest.

Thinking of You

Well, today's card is definitely not my norm, but I really wanted to do the Color Me Beautiful challenge...and boy did it take a little thinking for this week's challenge!  I wanted to use all of the colors on my card so I looked for a design that I thought would help me out.  Mojo Monday fit the bill perfectly.
Here are the colors for the Color Me Beautiful challenge...

and here is the Mojo Monday sketch...

I really like the simplicity of my card.  Usually I'm all about sponging and using embossing folders to cover up empty space, but this time I just left it alone...

Field Flowers

Today's card is the last card I planned for my fall stamp a stack.  Nope it's not a fall card, but I was kind of fall'd out by the time I got to the fifth card! lol  So I went back to one of my favorite things...flowers.

Field Flowers

It's Sunday so that means it's time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge.  I hope you enjoy this week's card.  To see a few other cards with this sketch visit the Red Hot blog here.

Friday while I was checking out the blogs I follow I came across a new blog.  It's called Color Me Beautiful and it's a color challenge blog.  Well, I liked the idea of that blog!  I was looking through past posts and came across one from a few weeks ago and decided to use their colors for this week's challenge.  The one color that's hard to see on my card is More Mustard, but it's there.  I colored the center of both flowers with it. :)

Blooming with Kindness or Field Flowers?

Here are a couple of cards I made while trying to come up with something for my stamp a stack using this week's Stamping 411 challenge.  I started with the bottom layers on the second card (Island Indigo base, and very vanilla sponged with soft suede) with the embossed flower from the top card.  I did NOT like the soft suede with that flower at all.  So I started over and didn't sponge any soft suede.  Definitely liked how the top card turned out.  Well, I couldn't let the other paper go to waste, so I though I'd use a different stamp and put some soft suede in it.  Yup, I like that one too.  Now to decide which one to use for my stamp a stack, so I put it to a vote in my house. lol  Everyone chose the second card, so that's the one I'm doing...less prep time for me too! :)

Bright Field Flowers

Today's card is one I made for my June stamp a stack.  Guess I didn't feel like coming up with my own design and colors for this card so I used Mojo Monday's design from a few weeks ago and Stamping 411's color inspiration from the beginning of April.

RHSSC 39

Today's card is for another Red Hot Stamper's sketch challenge.  It's a good thing I have these challenges or I might only get around to posting something once a month! lol  Anyway, I finally got around to buying a few new stamps sets...even though they aren't "new" they're new to me and in the 2012-2013 catalog! :)  And this is the first one I dug into.  Check out a few other cards with this design at the Red Hot Stamper's blog here.
