Pretty Pansy

Wow, it seems like all of my cards are really bright lately!  I guess I've been enjoying this spring weather too much.  Ok, I toned down the pink a little bit and added some yellow in to make a cute little pansy.  I figured it's been a while since I had made one, so it was time for another. :)  Anyway, this card was for my niece's birthday this past week and I used the Stampin Queens Sketch Challenge for my design.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Thoughts of You

Today's card is for the Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge.  I had a few different ideas going around in my head, but it seems like a couple of the other ladies had the same ideas as me.  Wait, I think I have that wrong.  Since they did theirs first I guess I had the same idea as a couple of them. lol  So I went back to work and finally came up with this card.  I wish the shimmer paint showed up better in the picture, but I've come to realize my pictures will never look as nice as a card does in person.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Artistic Etchings ~ SQSC 2

Well, I've been busy the last couple of days trying to get things together and ready for school...and it's my last year homeschooling!  So glad to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel!  Of course I had to take some breaks and check out all the sketch challenges I could be working on and finally gave in last night and did one.  I'm hoping to sneak a couple more in today and tomorrow too. :)  I started with Stampin Queens Sketch Challenge.

I wanted to make something vintage.  I keep seeing so many beautiful cards made that way and decided to try my hand at it.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge 1

Today I am very excited because I am entering my card into Stampin' Queens first Sketch Challenge that heard about from my upline Glenda.  She is a member of the design team...congrats, Glenda!  I'm also excited because I finally bought some blender pens and have been wanting to use them with this stamp set.  When I saw the SQSC design, I knew I had the perfect opportunity to give them a try.

I must admit, it is a little bit of work coloring it in, but once you get the hang of it it goes pretty fast.  I will definitely be using this technique more...but only if I'm doing a few cards at a time. ;)

I had to put something on the inside after making the outside so colorful.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
