Pink Birthday Wallet

Just another quick post for you today...a wallet.  A pink wallet at that!  My daughter is a nanny for a couple of kids and she requested that I make a birthday wallet for the girl that she watches.  So being the wonderful mom that I am ;) I made if for her.

I even made a fake credit card, driver's license and library card.  This time I didn't have to put the money in it though! lol

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Pretty in Pink Mixed Bunch

This is a card that's a bit different than what I normally do, but I really like it. :)  It's one of my quick and simple May stamp a stack cards.  I must admit this is probably the retiring color that I'm going to miss the most. :'(

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Birthday Bunch

Some of you might remember Stampin' Up came out with a project I posted about a couple of weeks ago the Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit.  At my upline's last demo meeting we put the set together.  They weren't too difficult to make, so I thought I'd make a couple of my own kind.  I grabbed the Mixed Bunch set and came up with these flowers.  I made it into a b-day card for my sister-in-law. :)  I used the Mojo Monday #293 sketch challenge for the design, and the Paper Players color challenge #145 for the colors.  I must say, I thought it was hard to get good pics when I use shimmer paint, but the heat and stick powder with dazzling diamonds is worse!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

RHSSC53 - One Year Anniversary!

Welcome to another Red Hot Stampers sketch challenge.  Well, this week is a special one because it's our One Year Anniversary!  We want to celebrate it by doing something special, and to show our appreciation to those of you who check out our blogs we are giving away blog candy!  If you leave a comment on the Red Hot Stampers blog your name will be entered into the drawing.  If you leave a comment and a link to your take on our sketch you will be entered into the drawing two times. :)  So that means you need to go check out the Red Hot's blog here for a chance to win.  Now onto today's cards.  Yes, I did two.  I made my first card because I was thinking waves and water when I saw the sketch.  However I felt it was just way too dark.  Yes, the card is much darker than the picture of it.  It's actually kind of cool, but it made me think of pirates! lol  So, I had to brighten things up a bit...

...and this is the card I came up with.  Much brighter!  It was a lot easier to make too.  I hope you enjoyed both of my cards.  Don't forget to check out the Red Hot's for a chance to win blog candy.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

How to get the wave on the card...

I took a scrap piece of paper and cut a wave in it about 2/3's of the way down to use as my template.  I then placed the two pieces of paper about 3/4" apart like this and attached to my card stock with dotto...

The part you want to sponge is the Very Vanilla portion.  I used one color on my first sample and three different colors on my second sample.  Hope this makes sense to anyone who wants to give it a try! :)

Mixed Bunch Triple Layer

Today's card is not the norm for my cards, but I've seen them all over the place lately!  I made one at my upline's demo meeting last week and thought I'd give one a try myself. :) I plan on using this technique for a card at my next stamp a stack, just not sure if this is the card I'll be using or not.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
