Summer Days ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

I love the beauty of fall, but I have to admit this year I'm not quite as ready for winter to come. That's why I'm posting this Summer Days card. It brings me back to the warm and SUNNY days we had this summer!

Jar of Flowers ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

Today's post is a day late! I had the card ready early for my sketch challenge for once, but forgot to do my blog post! Ever have one of those kind of days???
This week's card is inspired by Try Stampin' on Tuesday's sketch #462.
I used the stamp set Jar of Flowers from the new SU! annual catalog. There are 4 different bunches of flowers to choose from. Everything was colored using Stampin' Blends.
Here is the sketch I followed. To see what everyone else created on the design team click HERE. If you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create!

Rare Blessings ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

The cards I'm sharing today are what I call cheat cards. It's something I've already created, but decided to make more using a range of different colors. These cards are made from my favorite stamp set that is retiring from Stampin' Up!

Forever Blossoms ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

Today I'm sharing the cards I made for my mom and mom-in-law this year for Mother's Day.  If I had posted them yesterday they would have seen their cards on here before they got them and I didn't want that to happen!

Forever Blossoms ~ A Stampin' Up Card

Today's cards were sent to anyone who ordered from me in the month of April.
I couldn't decide if I wanted the background of my cards to be balmy blue or highland heather, so I made some of each.

Watercolor Flowers and Very Versailles Sentiment ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

Back in March I posted a card that had some watercolor flowers on it that were painted instead of stamped. I was asked how I made them and thought I'd share another card with the same flowers using Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Markers to paint with instead of DiVinci watercolors (no, I did not know what I had used on the previous card since I painted the flowers sometime last year. When I started experimenting the other day I found out rather quickly it was not SU! ink!).

Lovely Day Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set

I made this card a while ago using a paper pumpkin stamp set called Lovely Day and I used the colored pencils black magic technique. You can use any floral stamp to make this. I just might try it on our Good Morning Magnolia stamps if I get a chance.
I've heard of this technique over the years, but had never given it a try so I thought "Why not?" and I really like how it turned out!
I started by coloring everything white, then as I added color I started with the lightest to darkest. I didn't color the whole petal or leaves when I added in the darker colors, Just the white and lightest color.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Free as a Bird ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

Today I have another card to share that was inspired by a sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday (#452).
This card definitely did not start out this way!
I had my image stamped on watercolor paper and had added the sky on it after I had colored everything else. Well it ended up being pretty dark especially at the top so I wasn't too sure about it. I took a picture and didn't like how it looked on my phone so I opted to fussy cut my image out instead. Of course after I had this card completed I took pics of the card for here on my blog and as I was looking through them all on my laptop up pops the picture with the sky and I loved it! Too late to use it now since I chopped it to pieces...that's the way life goes sometimes. lol
Here is the sketch that we used this week. I can't say I followed it exactly, but I figured the birds could be the hexagon shapes. I kind of used the optional theme "flower power" since they are on the card even though they aren't the main focus. If you'd like to see what the other designers created check out their cards HERE. As always if you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Forever Blossoms ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

I always like to give cards to my family that I think they'll like (ok, who wouldn't lol). What I'm really trying to say is I'm not sure if my niece is in to flowers much, but I do know she doesn't want winter cards for her birthday since it's on the first day of winter.  ❅❄❆

Good Morning Magnolia ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

Are any of you like me?  You make a card, send it out to a friend or make them for classes and then forget to blog about it/post it on social media?  I've done that a LOT lately. I was going through my photo gallery and realized I have way too many pictures of beautiful cards (I think) that I've created and need to share more often. So here's hoping I keep on creating AND sharing what I've made.
