The Open Sea at Night

Well, I'm posting today's card a little later than normal, but I guess it's better late than never, right?  I knew I needed a masculine b-day card and love The Open Sea set, but I feel like I always use this one and use the same colors over and over again.  So I decided to try something different...black and white.  That's part of this week's Friday Mashup!
challenge...Black and White/Some Bling.  I wasn't sure if I could pull off a masculine card with just two colors with this set, but I must say I LOVE how this card turned out!  Sorry to say I couldn't really add too much bling to this guys card though, so I just went with adding the moon and stars with a couple popped up pieces on the bottom. lol  I can't forget where I got the design for this card either because that's where this whole idea really started...the Stampin Queens Sketch Challenge.  Thanks to both of these challenges for giving me a little inspiration today. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

  1. This is very cool! I love what you've done with this set in black and white - especially the torn edges and the embossing peeking out! The moon/stars are awesome too! Thanks for joining us this week at The Friday Mashup :)

  2. This looks so clean and crisp. I have always been a fan of black and white cards and this one would have to be close to the top of my favourites. Thanks for the inspiration.
