RHSSC - By the Tide

Well, I've been saying that I needed to use challenges to help me out with my stamp a stack cards for this month, and this card is no exception.  I used my Red Hot Stampers sketch challenge for this card.  I did cheat on the sketch just a little though.  I didn't put four squares on the card...oh no! ;)  Don't forget to check out the other cards made using this sketch challenge.  Just click here

I thought I'd take a pic at an angle so you could see that I actually did something on the inside of my card for once! :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Swallowtail for HHS Color Challenge

Here is another card I made for this month's stamp a stack.  And of course I'm using another challenge...Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge #155. :) Wow, I'm really going to have a fun time embossing and cutting out all of these butterflies!  I have to admit I wasn't sure about this stamp when I first saw it.  However after seeing what other ladies were making I had to give it a try myself.  Sponging the colors on after embossing makes it just beautiful!

All of that sparkle that you can see is actually in the embossing powder.  I was looking for some black embossing powder and guess I don't have any!  What's up with that? ! lol  All I could find was on old stash of Bedazzled Black, but I love how it turned out!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Everything Eleanor

Well, I'm having a hard time coming up with this month's stamp a stack cards, so I'm turning to some challenges to help me out.  The first one to help me out is The Paper Players.  They have a color challenge this week, and it sure is nice to let someone else pick the colors!  I found the colors a bit challenging...I wasn't sure where to throw in the Lucky Limeage, but I'm happy with what I came up with. :)  Not so sure I'm going to be happy when it's time to do my prep work, and I have all that fussy cutting to do though! lol

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Pastel Fox & Friends

Well, I have another post for you today.  I wanted to enter a card into The Friday Mashup this week and here's why...their theme is "Let's Celebrate!" since it's their 100th challenge.  That means I was able to choose which challenge I wanted to do out of the past 99.  I didn't get very far through their list of past challenges when I saw the "Let's Get Punchy Baby" challenge and knew that was the one I was going to do since I needed baby card for a shower this week at church.  I used a retired set, but I don't have any other sets that I can use for baby cards. :(  Plus this set is just so cute!  I can tell you one thing...I won't be making a lot of these cards with all the fussy cutting I did, that's for sure!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Daffodil Delights

These two cards are definitely not the norm for me, but I made them to feature the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit.  I think they turned out pretty cute, but I know beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. ;)  The card on the left took a little bit of work to fold up the flowers to make them look like daffodil buds, and cutting the strips of grass.  The flower itself was pretty easy to make though.  The yellow flower was super easy to make.  Just sponge the edges, clip the outside cup, layer the pieces and attach with the brad in the middle.  Making the stem and leaves were easy too. :)
