Build a Blossom ~ Thinking of You

Since I'm adding my cards to my blog in the order I have them in Picasa, today's card is a "Thinking of You" card.  I can't take credit for this design, but I did change it around a little to fit what I wanted for my stamp a stack.  Thanks to Dawn Olchefske for the design!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

3x3 "Thank Yous"

Well, I'm sitting here on a peaceful Sunday afternoon, and figured I could take a few minutes to update my blog since I've been neglecting it way too much this summer!  I wasn't sure what card to start with and thought I might as well just start putting them up in the order I have them saved, so here goes...  Whenever I borrow anything from other demos in my area or have an order I use 3x3's for thank yous.  I just tuck it in the bag when I return what I've borrowed, or put it in with my customer's order when I drop their supplies off.  They're quick and easy to make and I love them!

I got the design for this from a card swap I was in, but changed the colors.  Wish I could give the lady who came up with it the credit , but it's been almost a year since I was in the swap and don't remember. :(

Not only do I send thank yous, but get them in return.  I got this from my stamping friend Christi when she returned a bag to me...I love this 3x3!  Thanks, Christi!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

The Open Sea ~ Birthday

Hello again, everyone.  Today's card is the only masculine card I did for my July stamp a stack, so I thought I would start with that one.  I loved how it turned out...once I figured out where to put all the pieces!  I tell ya...I SO wish this set was not retiring at the end of the month, but instead had carried over into the new catalog.  It seemed to be a very popular set.  Oh well, I can still use it all I want. :)

Thought a zoomed in picture would help a little too...

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Stamp Sets:  The Open Sea & On Your Birthday
Card Stock:  Early Espresso, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake & Whisper White
Classic Stampin' Pads:  Pacific Point
Versa Mark (for embossed images)
Punches:  1 3/8" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, Modern Label & Word Window
Embossing Powder in White

I embossed the images on white paper using versa mark and white embossing powder.  To get the color I rubbed with a sponge starting in the center and moving out from there until I had the color just the way I wanted it.  I rubbed the embossed image with a paper towel to get the ink off the white and bring it out more.

Stargazer Lily Birthday Card

Today's card is one I made special for my sister.  I know she happens to like stargazer lilies, so I thought why not put one on a card for her.  I used the colors and idea similar to my first clematis card.

Artistic Etchings

Well, I'm finally ready to start blogging again after a much needed break.  I had a nice getaway to Gatlinburg, Tennessee last week and have been busy getting cards ready for my July Stamp a Stack this week.  Here are a few pics of the trip.  Nope, that's not me in the pic...I wouldn't get that close!  The momma is in the woods and that's her first cub.

Here are her second and third cubs.

I was able to get a nice shot of this butterfly when it decided to rest a minute. :)

These are some beautiful falls we hiked up to...

And now finally to today's card.  It's from last month's stamp a stack that I never posted.  It was also my favorite card out of the five I had for the ladies to make that night.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Little Lamb Baby Card

When I asked the ladies what kind of cards they would like to see at the stamp a stacks they requested baby cards.  I had a hard time coming up with something though!  If it was just boy or girl it wouldn't be so bad, but trying to come up with one that would be good for both...not so easy.  Then I remembered a little lamb I had made for my nieces b-day card and thought that would be cute to put on a card.  I finally managed to come up with this. :)

A closer view of the little lamb. :)

Another Strawberry Birthday

Wow am I being lazy about blogging lately, although I finally have all my flower garden areas weeded...whew!  I need to work on that a little bit every day instead of once a week!  Now maybe I can spend a little more time making some cards. :)  This is one of the feminine b-day cards I had the ladies make at my June Stamp a Stack.  Oh, I got the idea for this from Barb Mann!
