Gallery Blooms ~ A Stampin' Up! Card

Today, I'm back with a card that I really enoyed creating! It was inspired by Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge #678.
To create this card I used my Stampin' Write Markers to ink the stamp, but before I stamped it onto watercolor paper I spritzed it two or three time with water. That way I could easily blend the colors into the flower petals and leaves to give my card a bit of a watercolor look. I also used the retired Stamparatus, because I knew I would be stamping the image several times before I was done adding and blending color.
I used additional ink that I scribbled onto a block with my markers so I could darken some of the petals and leaves that didn't get dark enough after stamping and wetting my images.
This is the sketch we used for this week's cards. Make sure you check out all of the great cards the other designers created HERE. If you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
Sara
