Your Kindness...

It's been a while since I've posted so I figured I'd better get another card up!  I don't know what's up with me this week, but I've been very lax in my stamping!  I think I just need a break every once in a while and will be ready soon enough. :)  This is one of the cards I had the ladies make at last month's stamp a stack.  It was fun to see how each one turned out a little differently because of the way they put the swirls on.

I think this card was the hardest of the bunch, but only because they needed to remember what colors to use on which stamp and when to stamp off so the color wasn't too dark on the flowers.  They all really liked the card though. :)

Yup another picture.  I like seeing more than one pic of a card so I throw in a few myself.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Moon Lake Watercolor

Before you pass this post by be sure to open it up and look at the cards I created. :)  But for now I want to say, yes, it's time again for Free Shipping from Stampin' Up!  I do love free shipping!  Especially since I remembered a set I wanted to get, but keep forgetting to order it...err!  Now I don't have to worry about the shipping cost. :)  Click HERE to place an order with me to get free shipping. :)  All you have to do is hit shop in the top right corner to get started.  Now keep on reading to check out what I've created for you today...

I have a couple of similar masculine cards that my brother requested.  I work in the office for him at his body shop...that is collision repair, frame repair, painting and restoration projects.  He asked me if I would make a couple of cards to send as thank yous to a couple of his customers.  Me make cards?  Of course! lol  I don't have any car stamps that fit the bill, but I figured a good masculine card would do so I picked a stamp from Moon Lake, stamped it on watercolor paper with StazOn Black and water colored it in.  Both similar and yet a little different.  Now to just enjoy the rest of the pictures...

As you can see the sky and lake are a little darker on the top card than the bottom.  I like the sky better in the top one, but the water better on the bottom one.  Am I picky or what? lol

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Ehh? It's Your Birthday?

Who doesn't love the set From the Herd in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog?  I know I do!  It's definitely not my usual style, but it's so cute and funny that I had to use it on one of my stamp a stack cards.  The ladies loved it too, but we all agreed that coloring it in sure takes a while!  I have to say I'm sad that the Blendabilities had to go, but I know I'll still color this using an aqua painter and ink pads because it's too cute not to use. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Silver Stars

We finally had some warmer weather here in my part of Michigan yesterday!  It was around 65 degrees.  After this past winter it seemed pretty warm to me.  I even had my office door open to let in the sunshine and warmth. :)  Seems kind of strange that I'd be making a Christmas card with this kind of weather, but it's time for another challenge over at 'Tis the Season and this time it's a color challenge.  I thought it was going to be a difficult one again, but I think I managed to do ok with it. :)

I used the colors Pacific Point, Soft Sky and Night of Navy.  I heat embossed to get my silver.  As you can see I did just a touch of each of the colors and let silver be the focus of the card.  I'd still like to make a few more and have the base be Soft Sky on one and Pacific Point for the other.  The last one will be the one I like the best out of the three. :)

Make sure you head over to 'Tis the Season to check out all the other great cards by the design team and to play along too.  You need to make your Christmas cards at some point and getting them started sooner rather than later will make you happy when December comes creeping up on you! lol

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Moon Lake Birthday

Today's card is inspired by Try Stampin' on Tuesday's sketch challenge #212. I think this challenge has some great sketches to work with.  They're not too hard...meaning there are not too many layers or things I need to add on, nor are they too simple that I feel like there's not enough on the card.  Thanks to the ladies who have provided these fun sketches. :)

Anywhoo...the other day I posted a card saying I was in the mood to do some water coloring.  After I finished the apple blossom birthday card I went on to make this card.  This stamp really needed some loving because it's the only one I hadn't used yet out of the Moon Lake set.  The other two stamps are what I would call masculine, but I think this one is feminine.   What a fun picture to "paint".

This is the sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Make sure you check them out HERE.  Lots of fun cards created using this sketch. :)

Just a couple more pics for you to look at.  I love it when there are two or more pics of someone's card on their blog.  I have no idea why, but I just do so that's why I always try to post two or three pics myself. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Apple Blossom Birthday

Today's card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #179.  It's a clean and simple sketch and I love that about it.  I was in the mood to do a little water coloring...if that's what you call it when using an aqua painter. lol  Either way I enjoyed it even though it's a little time consuming.

I used Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Sahara Sand ink pads to color in my flowers.  I stamped a little on the inside and you can see it peeking out of the top left corner in the first picture I took of my card.

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that I told you I liked so much.  Make sure you check out the great cards by the design team if you haven't had a chance yet.  It's always fun to see how one sketch inspires so many different creations.

Walk in the Wild ~ Masculine Birthday

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. :(  I've been sitting here this morning before heading into work going through pics of cards that I have that I haven't posted yet.  I have to say there are a few out there.  A lot of them were inspired by other cards that I've seen out there and a few are some pretty close cases.  I'll have to start posting them in the next few weeks in between the new cards I make. :)

Anyway today I have a clean and simple masculine card to show you that's inspired by this week's sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Love the sketches they've had lately.  Something about them just helps me be creative.  Even though this one is simple I still love it. :)

Just a little peek inside. ;)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
