Gorgeous Grunge Christmas

It's Sunday so that means it's time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge card.  I went a little different than normal using Christmas ornaments with the gorgeous grunge streaks underneath.  I guess it's a pretty clean and simple card for this week's challenge. :)  Don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made over at the Red Hot Stampers' blog HERE.

French Foliage

Well, I couldn't resist...I had to use a retired fall set.  I love the set French Foliage and used it for a couple of challenges today.  My colors come from the Color Throwdown challenge and the sketch is from Mojo Monday.

Soft Snowflakes

Today is very exciting for me...I've joined the Try Stampin' on Tuesday team, and I'm happy to share my first card with you as a designer!  I've seen a lot of Christmas cards out there already and thought I'd pull out one of my favorite sets from last year and use it ~ Snowflake Soiree.  Since I had a window sheets packet sitting around unopened I decided to give them a try too.  I ended up embossing white snowflakes on a small piece of window sheet layered on the front over pool party card stock. Then I also stamped and embossed a few more on the front part of the card where it's just clear and the "love you" under the ribbon.  The Circles are attached to the pool party card stock underneath the window sheets.  I found out how quickly and easily we can hide where we attach our layers and ribbons, etc. when using regular card stock.  I had to be a little creative in a few spots with this card!

Just a couple more pics so you can see the card at different angles and not just straight on. :)

Pop on over to the Try Stampin' on Tuesday blog HERE and play along if you get a chance. :)

Regal Rose

It seems like I'm in a flower making mood the past couple of days.  Maybe it's because I know before long they'll be gone, and I want to enjoy the last little bit of my flowers outdoors while I can.  And that just puts me in the mood to make them...who knows. lol  Since I wanted to make a rose I thought the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge was the perfect sketch to put it on.  I also used the ColourQ Challenge for my card's colors.  They were definitely a challenge for me and I wanted to see what I could come up with using them.

RHSSC - Everything Eleanor

It's Sunday so that means it's time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge.  I had an idea going through my mind for this sketch after being inspired at our Red Hot meeting on Thursday.  One of the ladies showed a bunch of crafts she's been working on and some of them had paper flowers on them.  It's been a while since I've made some paper flowers, so I thought it would be a good time to give another one a try. :)
Don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made HERE.

Sponged Wetlands

Ever wonder why you say you'll do something then ask yourself later "Why did I do that?!  That's me with today's card! lol  Yup, I told my upline that I'd do a demo at our monthly meeting.  Actually I didn't mind it a bit. :)  I love sponging on my cards and knew I would want to do some sort of sponging.  At first I thought I'd do flowers of some sort, but since I didn't want to cut any flowers out and love the Wetlands stamp set I went with that.  I used this week's Color Throwdown challenge for my colors.  I took one look at them and liked what I saw. :)   I did have to change a couple of colors since I didn't have them, but got as close as I could.  Well, after I finished my sample card I thought maybe we should all give it a try at the meeting!  Sure, why not?!  I emailed my upline and she said sure.  I must say they did a great job on their cards!  They all looked different (just like my samples below), but that's what making cards is all about. :)  Wish I had brought my camera to take pics of all of them.

This was the first card I made...

This was a second sample so we weren't all trying to look at one card...

And this is the one I made as we were working together...

Elegant Thank You

Today's card was inspired by The Friday Mashup challenge, and boy was it a challenge for me!  Here is what their challenge consists of:

1.  Create a project with using "A-B-C (use elements on your projects starting with the letters A, B, C). "
2.  Create a project using a "1-2-3 card recipe (1 embellishment, 2 Stamp Sets, 3 Colors) ."
3.  Or Mash it Up and create a project "A-B-C & a 1,2,3 card recipe. "

I mashed it up and here are the A-B-C's and 1-2-3's of my card:

A.  Aqua Painter
B.  Blooming with Kindness
C.  Candy Dots

1.  One Flower
2.  Two colors (Elegant Eggplant & Always Artichoke)
3.  Three layers on my card.

For so many things to work with I think it turned out pretty clean and simple.  However I'm finding out using the aqua marker is anything but simple!  I love how cards turn out when I use it, so it's definitely worth it. :)
