RHSSC 97 - Field Flowers

Well, it's a good thing it's Sunday and time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge or I might not be posting on here...kind of like this past week.  I should have a few things this coming week since I've been working on gifts for the ladies I'll be staying with at convention this week. :)  I've also been working away at my swap cards.  I came up with something I liked with way too many steps, but that's what I'm doing anyway because I like it! :)  One reason I mentioned all of this is because a lot of posts are going to involve this stamp set and most of them will be this color.  Why?  Because that's what's all over my craft table so I figured that's what I would use. :)  So here it today's card which I must say was challenging for me!  Don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made on their blog HERE.

RHSSC - Wetlands Sunset

It's Sunday so that means it's time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge card.  I made this card special for a stamping friend's birthday who seems to craft a lot for her grand children making special things for class parties.  She makes crafts for others and has opened her home so others can craft too. :) I hope she had a great birthday!

Even though I've done a lot of sponging lately I couldn't resist doing a little more. :)  Don't forget to see what the other Red Hot Stampers made using this same sketch.  Check them out HERE.

Celebrate Today!

Happy 4th of July!  And Happy Birthday to a stamping friend of mine whose b-day happens to be today.  She makes hundreds of cards for others, so I think she deserves one on her special day too.  I wonder if one of these years I should make her a normal every day card instead of one that's red, white and blue?  We'll see next year, but for this year I used the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge #49 HERE to help come up with her card.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Inky Fingers Club Summer Session

Today I thought I'd send a little snippet of another card I made for the Inky Fingers Club Summer Session.  I'm one of the guest designers and my cards are featuring sponging using one of the new sets in the catalog.  I'm sure you can tell which set is if you have the Stampin' Up! catalog. :)  I love this set, and it's great for masculine and feminine cards.  I've spent more than a few hours coming up with the ideas for my cards, taking lots and lots of pics and writing, writing, writing.  I thought I would hate writing all of the step-by-step instructions because I knew they were going to be pretty detailed, but I actually enjoyed it! :)  If you'd like to join the Inky Fingers Club Summer Session click HERE (you need to scroll down the page to sign up since all the info is below the pictures).  If you're not sure what this is all about here is some info for you to check out...

Yes, I wonder who will end up with the cards I've created.  I just hope they enjoy them...and send each one of them out to someone special. :)  That's what I love about making cards.  I put a little bit of myself into each one I create hoping to bring joy to someone on their special day, or a little comfort on one of their sad days.

Happy Birthday to my Hubby!

It's Sunday so that means it's time to post another Red Hot Stampers' sketch card.  Since it's my hubby's birthday today I thought I'd use this week's sketch challenge to make his card.  It went together pretty quickly too.  Well, except cutting out the anchor, but that wasn't too bad. :)  Don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made this week HERE.

Inky Fingers Club Summer Session

Well, it's been a few days since I've blogged, but today's post is kind of special since it's for a project that I've been working on for a few weeks.  I'm sure you've seen a few posts where I've talked about the Inky Fingers Club.  I was asked to be a guest designer for the summer session, and today I'm showing you a few pics of all the Stampin' Up! supplies I've used to create my projects.  Notice how everything is laid out pretty neatly?  Yup, I'm a neat stamping freak, so I couldn't take pictures of everything being messy because I clean up as I go along.  Not sure if that's good or bad. lol  As much as I'd like to I can't show you any pics of the cards (gotta build up the suspense), but I do have one small snippet of one of the cards...and it's not even from my favorite card of the bunch!  As you'll see on the small little sample at the bottom of this post, it involves sponging.  Yes, I love all different sorts of sponging, but these cards in particular are all different scenes I've created using sponges, ink and and of course my Stampin' Up! supplies.

I've taken a lot of pictures and will have step by step instructions for each card.  Remember there will be a  lot more designs out there than just mine when you sign up for the summer session. :)  Here is the info I've posted before to give you an idea what all of this is about.  Don't forget to email me if you've joined the summer session.
