Cherry Cobbler Floral Fusion

Today's card is one of my June stamp a stack cards.  Believe it or not I just recently bought the Floral Fusion sizzlet die and couldn't wait to use it.  I was thinking of using it with the Lattice Bigz Die at first until I remembered I had a new embossing folder to use...the Modern Mosaic folder.  I figured that would work well as a lattice background. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Lovely as a Tree Birthday

Last week was my brother-in-law's birthday so I made him a card using a simple sponging technique and Lovely as a Tree.  I would have made him a card with horses, but I don't have any horse stamps!  What is up with that!?  Stampin' Up! even has one too...hmm. lol

Father's Day Cards

I liked the Red Hot Stampers' sketch so much this week that I made all of my Father's Day cards using it. :)  The first one is for my dad.  Usually I use blues when I use this set, however my dad just finished restoring his Valiant sailboat after working on it for about twelve years.  The stripe around the edge is similar to the Garden Green on this card.  Plus he likes green better than blue. :)

The second card is for my father-in-law.  He seems to like cars (or is it trucks) and has a couple that he would like to restore (I hope I'm remembering that correctly!)  I used a retired set for this card.  I've kept a few masculine sets that Stampin' Up! has had over the years since I like them so much.

RHSSC - By the Tide

Happy Father's Day!  Not sure how many of you that read this are Father's, but thought I'd send it out just in case. :)  It's also Sunday so you know what that means...another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge card.  I haven't used the set By the Tide in a while, so I decided to pull that one out for this week's sketch.  Other than cutting out the fish this was a quick and easy card to make. :)  Don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made HERE.

Thinking of You and Sponging Too

Today's card is one I quickly whipped up since I've been busy working on my cards For the Inky Fingers Club Summer Session.  Since I usually have a card or two left over from my stamp a stacks I decided to grab one of those to make a new one.  I think Pool Party and Soft Sky go pretty well with the Baja Breeze card stock I already had cut up. :)

Speaking of Inky Fingers I've been doing a LOT of sponging (and really do have inky fingers!)  After all the work I've been doing I can't wait to see what the other ladies are making for the summer session too.  Below are some cards that I've made in the past using the sponging technique if you're wondering what this is all about.  I'll be giving detailed step by step instructions with a lot of pictures on four new cards that I've created special for this club if you're interested in learning how to do this yourself.

RHSSC - Bitty Butterfly Birthday

I must say I really like the new In Colors! :)  I was planning on using them for this week's Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge card, but then we had a little bit added on to the challenge toward the end of the week...we needed to make our cards into a Father's Day card too.  Well, today's card is the idea I had going in my head (I even the the set, punches and colors sitting out early in the week!).  I really didn't think butterflies were a very wise choice for a Father's day card, so I made this card for my friend's birthday instead. :)

Celebrate Today!

What an appropriate title for today's card...Celebrate Today!  It was my dad and mom's anniversary, so I wanted to make them something special.  Right now I'm working on sponging, so I wanted to make a nice scene for them.  I think I need to work on figuring out some different scenes, but for now this will have to do.  Since I started their card so late I went looking for a bit of help.  I liked the colors for this week's Paper Players color challenge, so I quickly pulled them out and got to work!  Since sponging makes my colors mix a little I knew I would end up with a hint of green on my card too.  I have no idea why I think this, but a card just doesn't seem right if it doesn't have any green on it.  Ok, I don't think that of all my cards, but I do think that about a lot of them that I make.  Maybe some of you have this weird obsession too...there has to be a certain color to make things just right. lol
