Another Strawberry Birthday

Wow am I being lazy about blogging lately, although I finally have all my flower garden areas weeded...whew!  I need to work on that a little bit every day instead of once a week!  Now maybe I can spend a little more time making some cards. :)  This is one of the feminine b-day cards I had the ladies make at my June Stamp a Stack.  Oh, I got the idea for this from Barb Mann!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

June SAS ~ Sympathy/Thinking of You Card

Ok, I need to quickly get a card posted today before I head into work.  Today's card is one we made at my June Stamp a Stack.  I seem to be stuck with a certain color combo though.  I really like Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla together, but they seem to be the perfect combo for sympathy/thinking of you cards.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

4th of July Birthday

Today's card is a little out of character for me, but I was "kind of" challenged to give it a try.  I'm glad I did...I had a lot of fun making it and like how it turned out. :)  I've never done a patriotic card before and wondered who I would give it to if I did. Well, we have a lady from our church who makes cards for everyone on their birthday (that's a lot of cards!), and I thought why not make it for her when I found out her birthday is July 4.  Oh, I almost forgot...my idea for this came from The Friday Mashup.  Thanks for the little push, Kasey! ;)

I couldn't decide which picture I liked better,
so I just put them both on. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Stamp Set:  Afterthoughts (retired hostess set)
Card Stock:  Night of Navy, Real Red & Whisper White
Classic Stampin Pad:  Real Red
Punches:  Decorative Label & Boho Blossoms
Jewels:  Basic Pearls

I cut seven real red strips and six whisper white strips 5 1/2" x 5/16" for the stripes.  I trimmed the edge with a paper cutter after I had all the pieces on  for a smooth finish.  Not sure what size I made the blue...I was making it at two in the morning! ;)  I just know I made it big enough to fit the twelve flowers!

Artistic Etchings

Wow has the last week been busy for me!  I bet most of you can say the same thing.  Seems like I was either working on my cards for my June Stamp a Stack, at work or somewhere on the go!  I hope the next couple of weeks slow down a little bit!
Today's card is one I thought about using for my stamp a stack, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for.  It seems like I come up with an idea, but my first one is never quite the one.  Anyone else have that problem?!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Stawberry Birthday Card

Today's card is one that I've been thinking about for a few weeks after seeing a couple of cards with strawberries on them.  I can't take the credit for the strawberry idea though.  I got them from Barb Mann and Denise Willerton....thanks ladies!  I did have to change mine a little bit because I didn't have the DSP for the stem, and I didn't want to do quite as many flowers.  I was also looking through blog challenges I follow and was a bit bummed because I haven't been doing them as much as I like to.  Well, as I was looking through them I realized my card would fit with The Friday Mashup this week!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Happy Father's Day

Well, as you can tell I've taken a few days off from blogging.  I hope to post more things this week than I did last week, but we'll have to see how things go.  Now that we're getting nicer weather, I need to spend some of my time outside too.  Today's card is my last Father's Day card for this year, and the one I  made for my hubby.
