In Wilderness Birthday

Well, Thanksgiving is done and the Christmas season has begun and what am I posting?  A masculine birthday card.  It's what I needed to make, so here it is.  I made it for my brother-in-law, and I sure hope he likes it more than butterflies!  Yup, that's an inside joke from when I gave him his card  the other day.  Anyway, I hope he had a great birthday with his family!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Happy Anniversary - SQSC14

Today's card is doing double duty...I needed a fiftieth wedding anniversary card and have been wanting to do a few challenges again.  So I looked thorough the challenges and thought the Stampin Queens sketch challenge was just the one to use for it.  And what did I pull out for a 50th anniversary?  Yup, Whisper White card stock and my gold embossing powder.  I was going to put numbers on the front of the card too, but I have no idea what happened to my numbers set.  Hmm...must have sold it or given it away.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

RHSSC11

As much as I love this time of year coming up ~ the holidays and spending more time with family ~ I sure don't like the bugs that start floating around!  I think our house has had its fair share of it them and it's time for them to move on!  I hope everyone else reading this is managing to stay healthy, especially with Thanksgiving being so close.  With that being said it's time to show you my next Red Hot Stampers sketch challenge, so here's my take on sketch 11.  You can visit the Red Hot Stampers here to see a few more cards.

Just Believe Easel Card

Well, I figured it was time for me to get busy posting again since I missed all last week and part of this week.  This is another one of my stamp a stack cards...from a while ago.  I had never made an easel card, so I thought why not give it a try and have the ladies try it too!  I must admit I have a card or two every month that challenges them a little bit.  They must not be too bad though or they wouldn't keep coming back.  Thanks ladies!

It's a Boy!

It's Sunday and time for another Red Hot Stampers challenge which I really enjoyed making this week.  My sister recently had baby number six...yes, number 6!  I don't know how she does it, but she's a great mom...and sister too. :)  Anyway, as soon as I looked at the sketch for this card I knew it had to be a baby card.

RHSSC9 - Lovely as a Tree

Welcome to Sunday!  For me that means it's time for another Red Hot Stamper's sketch challenge.  I took a look at the sketch and thought about what I was going to do...yeah, I had no clue! lol  Well, I had the set Lovely as a Tree sitting on my table because I needed to come up with one more card for my stamp a stack next week and that's the set I was going to use.  I had also just been looking at cards from that set on Splitcoast.  I came across a few cards that had reflections on them and have always wanted to give them a try, so I thought why not.  And for those of you who are planning on coming to my stamp a stack...we will be making this card. :)

Red Hot Stampers Card Swap

Today's card is one I made for a card swap with the Red Hot Stampers.  I love doing these card swaps because I get such a variety of lovely cards.  So for this swap we could use any set from the holiday mini catalog and I chose The Sounding Joy...kinda obvious I guess. ;)  At first I thought I'd never come up with a card, but then decided I wanted to use the seam binding ribbon in Rose Red.  Well, that made my paper choices kind of obvious, so I started playing around from there and this is what I came up with. :)

Because the card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" I like to give an envelope with the card in case the ladies don't have that size on hand...and I thought I'd add just a little extra to the envelope with another stamp from the set.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
