Shadow Box Card

After about a week of sunshine, I'm looking out my window only to see clouds and rain today.  I just have to remember we need the rain as well as the sunshine for things to grow!  At least I don't need the rain and sunshine in my basement to grow flowers for my cards!  Today's "card" is a challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  The challenge was to make a shadow box card.  Making the box took a little extra work, but wasn't as hard as I though it was going to be. :)

Butterfly Birthday

I'm told my niece's favorite color is yellow, so I wanted to make her a bright yellow card for her birthday.  It reminds me of all the sunshine we've been getting in MI lately...now I'm ready for the warm weather to go with it!

I was at a wedding recently and my daughters and a couple of nieces bought matching purses, shoes and sunglasses for the wedding...actually the shoes and sunglasses were a fun thing for the reception. :)  So when my niece had her b-day a couple of days after we got home I decided to make a card with a bunch of purses on it for her.

This is a card I made for my daughter for her 21st birthday.  I tried to make the dress close to one that she recently wore to a wedding.  Of course, you need a purse to go with the dress, but I guess I forgot the shoes!
