Festive Flurry Christmas

Merry Christmas...at least that's what today's card says. :)  This card is totally different than what I usually make, but the challenge for 'Tis the Season is an inspiration challenge and has letters on it, so that's what I ran with.  I didn't want just black and white so I went with Naturals White, Basic Black and Blackberry Bliss.

Make sure you stop by 'Tis the Season HERE to check out some other great Christmas cards.  Christmas is coming faster than you think and you don't want to be stuck making cards at the last minute! ;)

Kinda Eclectic Thinking of You

Here's another card for you for this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge.  Not sure what I think of this card, but it will have to do.  It is a lot prettier in person since it has one of my favorite things on it...shimmer. :)  I just couldn't get it to show no matter how many pics I took.  Anyway I've been wanting to use the new set Kinda Eclectic from Stampin' Up! and finally had my chance.

I did skip one of the strips on like on the sketch, but it was SO much easier to divide my piece of card stock into just four pieces.  Yup, guess I was just being lazy...and running out of time!
Make sure you check out what the design team made HERE and if you get a chance play along too. :)

Corner Garden Display

Today's card is a little different than my norm, but I still like it. :)  I know, the top right of the card is a little bare, but I decided to wait until I knew what I was going to use my card for before putting words on it.  And since it's Friday any of you that follow me regularly know this card is for the Friday Mashup challenge.  This week's fun challenge is from Lynda and it is...

Create a project with " Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black & Whisper White".
Create a project with a "Wood Element".
or Mash it Up! and create a " Project using the colors above & a Wood element".

I did say the first time I used the Corner Garden stamp I would emboss it instead of color it and that's exactly what I did!  I used the VersaMark Pad and stamped it on Basic Black card stock and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I did the same thing except on Whisper White and carefully cut out the flowers and leaves from the white card stock.  Then I used my sponges to color in each of my flowers.   I could have colored it with Blendabilities markers, but I love sponging so I opted for that to get Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi on my card.  I also ran one piece of Whisper White card stock through the Woodgrain embossing folder to get the wood element part of the challenge.

Make sure you head over to the Friday Mashup challenge HERE to see what the other designers created for this challenge.

Train Traveler

Today I have another masculine card for you.  Surprised?  Probably not.  I made these cards for a card swap with the Red Hot Stampers.  It's always fun to be involved in a swap.  I definitely got a lot of great cards from it!  I'll have to share them with you later on.

This card wasn't too difficult to make.  I brayered the naturals vanilla card stock with Crumb Cake, then Soft Suede and finished with Early Espresso.  Then I stamped the World Map stamp in Soft Suede.  To stamp the train on both pieces of card stock I first stamped it with Early Espresso on the Soft Suede card Stock, then put my Naturals Ivory card stock exactly where I wanted it, used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and stamped onto the Naturals Vanilla and it matched perfectly.  If you don't have a stamp-a-ma-jig I'd consider buying one.  You can line images up, place an image exactly on your card stock where you want it, and definitely no more crooked sentiments if you have this great tool!  Since I don't have a lot of candy dots, but wanted them on the 13 cards I made I punched out some circles about the same size as the candy dots, put them on my silicone craft sheet, dropped a bit of  crystal effects on them and let them dry (give it a good six hours for candy dot size to dry).  They turn out the color of the paper you use underneath them. :)  I used Early Espresso on this card.

Punch Art and Pom Poms Winner...

So I totally didn't post who won my card for Punch Art and Pom Poms yesterday.  The Winner is Kim P.  Congrats, Kim. :)  I was told by a few people that they didn't know how to post on my blog, so I guess if I do something like this again I'll have to write a list of everyone who comments on all of my galleries and go from there.  Maybe I'll get a better turnout that way too! lol

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
