Happy Birthday to my Hubby!

It's Sunday so that means it's time to post another Red Hot Stampers' sketch card.  Since it's my hubby's birthday today I thought I'd use this week's sketch challenge to make his card.  It went together pretty quickly too.  Well, except cutting out the anchor, but that wasn't too bad. :)  Don't forget to check out what the other Red Hot Stampers made this week HERE.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Inky Fingers Club Summer Session

Well, it's been a few days since I've blogged, but today's post is kind of special since it's for a project that I've been working on for a few weeks.  I'm sure you've seen a few posts where I've talked about the Inky Fingers Club.  I was asked to be a guest designer for the summer session, and today I'm showing you a few pics of all the Stampin' Up! supplies I've used to create my projects.  Notice how everything is laid out pretty neatly?  Yup, I'm a neat stamping freak, so I couldn't take pictures of everything being messy because I clean up as I go along.  Not sure if that's good or bad. lol  As much as I'd like to I can't show you any pics of the cards (gotta build up the suspense), but I do have one small snippet of one of the cards...and it's not even from my favorite card of the bunch!  As you'll see on the small little sample at the bottom of this post, it involves sponging.  Yes, I love all different sorts of sponging, but these cards in particular are all different scenes I've created using sponges, ink and and of course my Stampin' Up! supplies.

I've taken a lot of pictures and will have step by step instructions for each card.  Remember there will be a  lot more designs out there than just mine when you sign up for the summer session. :)  Here is the info I've posted before to give you an idea what all of this is about.  Don't forget to email me if you've joined the summer session.

Serene Silhouettes Graduation

Today's card is for this week's Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge.  I must say I had a hard time with this week's sketch!  I finally just sponged in some colors on the semi-circle to kind of show a sunset since it seems that's all I've been working on lately, then stamped one of the trees from Serene Silhouettes.  I also needed one more graduation card, so it kind of served a dual purpose today.
If you like the look of sponging and aren't sure how to do it I have four cards that I made for the Inky Fingers Club Summer Session.  They range from pretty simple to a bit of work, but I will have detailed instructions and a LOT of pictures for each card.  Here is some more info you can check out if you're interested...

Cherry Cobbler Floral Fusion

Today's card is one of my June stamp a stack cards.  Believe it or not I just recently bought the Floral Fusion sizzlet die and couldn't wait to use it.  I was thinking of using it with the Lattice Bigz Die at first until I remembered I had a new embossing folder to use...the Modern Mosaic folder.  I figured that would work well as a lattice background. :)

Lovely as a Tree Birthday

Last week was my brother-in-law's birthday so I made him a card using a simple sponging technique and Lovely as a Tree.  I would have made him a card with horses, but I don't have any horse stamps!  What is up with that!?  Stampin' Up! even has one too...hmm. lol

Father's Day Cards

I liked the Red Hot Stampers' sketch so much this week that I made all of my Father's Day cards using it. :)  The first one is for my dad.  Usually I use blues when I use this set, however my dad just finished restoring his Valiant sailboat after working on it for about twelve years.  The stripe around the edge is similar to the Garden Green on this card.  Plus he likes green better than blue. :)

The second card is for my father-in-law.  He seems to like cars (or is it trucks) and has a couple that he would like to restore (I hope I'm remembering that correctly!)  I used a retired set for this card.  I've kept a few masculine sets that Stampin' Up! has had over the years since I like them so much.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
