Baby's First Year Mini Scrapbook & Card – December Bonus Project!

Today is my last day posting all of the wonderful creations I've shown you from Craft Project Central for the month of December.  I had a fun time creating my masculine watercolored cards  and posting collages of what the other ladies created too.  If you would like to buy all the projects for the month of December you can still do that and the price is very reasonable!  Click HERE to check it out.  One last thing before you read about the bonus project...I did offer all of the projects this month for free to one winner and was supposed to post the winner Sunday, but sadly no one took me up on my offer so I thought I would just mention it today.  What's a girl to do?  I tried. :)  And now onto the last project for you and it's a good one.  Make sure you read under the picture to see how you can get this project.

If you've got a new baby in the family, or a friend has had a baby, then you really should make this mini scrapbook for them. This mini scrapbook is a great little keepsake for the baby's first year. There is room for a picture of the baby for each of its first twelve months, along with two pockets to put little keepsakes in. This scrapbook shows a new way to use the Project Life Baby Girl Card Collection and Hello Baby Accessory Pack. It also features the Hello Baby Stamp Set. It can be customized for a baby boy by using the Project Life Baby Boy Card Collection instead. This would also make a great Project Life Class.

Watercolor Ornament

I have a second post today that I wanted to show you.  I've been patiently waiting until I had time to try my hand at a little more watercoloring.  Dina over on Splitcoaststampers had a tutorial a few weeks ago on a watercolored ornament card.  Her card is beautiful and she has a step-by-step tutorial and a video you can watch.  Yes, she makes it look so easy!  I tried it with the three ornaments first, just to get a feel for it.  I didn't think it turned out too bad for my first try, but I never finished putting it together since I had to get a card made that I could give to my dad and that one just wasn't the right one.   Every year he asks me to make a card for my mom that he can give her, and of course it has to pass my inspection!  I'm not a perfectionist or anything! lol

As I was looking through the blogs I follow I saw that the Color Throwdown has "any christmas creations, any colors" challenge this time around, so I thought I'd play along.

I'm also putting it into Splitcoaststampers' gallery.  If you make a creation from one of their tutorials you can upload it into that particular gallery.

Snow Day Fun!

Today I have another super cute project to show you from Buffy Cooper.  You can check it out HERE at Craft Project Central.

Snow Day Fun!

It’s 10 a.m. on a snow day. The snow is piling up outside and doesn’t look like it’s going to stop, and then you hear those three dreaded words – “Mom, I’m bored.” Keep your children entertained with this Snow Day Fun set. Use the Stampin’ Up! Snow Place bundle to create mix and match elements that will cling to the scenic background board. It’s simple enough for older children to create for younger siblings or neighbors, and smaller children will enjoy mixing the pieces to create cute snow scenes. Best of all, it’s durable enough to stand up to hours of use by tiny fingers. If you don’t have children, you can create this project for a friend who does and make a young child’s day. Instructions for a storage/gift box and a coordinating card are included. This would make a fun class for moms so they’ll be ready for that first snow day!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Beautiful Birthday

Yes, this is my second post today.  I happened to have two projects that needed posting, so I just went with it. :)  I created this card using Try Stampin' on Tuesday's sketch challenge #250 and made it for my niece's birthday.  I remember hearing that she always get winter cards, so I had to make her a nice spring/summer card.  I also had to try a bit more "water coloring".  I couldn't resist and was pretty happy with how it turned out. :)

Make sure you head over to Try Stampin' on Tuesday HERE to see the other great cards created by the design team.  Looks like I forgot the theme to use metal on my card.  That is optional so I still pass...whew! lol

.

Just a couple more pics to check out.  Wish I could get the pictures to look like the card actually does.  I think I need to haul out my light box again AND get the lights that I need to keep things nice and bright when I'm trying to take pictures.

Handbag Card Set!

Everyone needs some pretty colors and flowers to get them through the cold winters, and this card set would definitely cheer them up! The cards are stored in a cute little handbag with pretty Antique Brads on the handles. The handbag can hold eight cards and envelopes. This tutorial includes two card designs made with the Remarkable You Stamp Set, and four of each design can be made to fill up the handbag. This would make a perfect gift, and a great class project.

Handbag Card Set!

This lovely set was created by Christy Fulk and can be purchased (or won) at Craft Project Central HERE.

Merry Christmas Ornaments

The beginning of December I posted a card with an ornament that I had made using the negative pieces of both a red and green ornament from the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Dies.  I had both ornaments sitting on my card desk waiting to be used, so that's exactly what I did!  I made two of the same card, just reversed the colors and used the sketch over at Craft Project Central HERE.  It's a clean a simple sketch and I love it!

I love how these cards turned out, but I have to admit it was kind of hard to get a decent picture with the silver in the ornaments reflecting the light! lol  The silver that I used came from the Stampin' Up! kit Cottage Greetings.  They had silver foil envelope liners and I though to myself, "No way am I going to line those envelopes with that!  They're just going to get thrown away!".  I knew I could use it on some Christmas cards and that's exactly what I did. :)
