Moon Lake Birthday

Today's card is inspired by Try Stampin' on Tuesday's sketch challenge #212. I think this challenge has some great sketches to work with.  They're not too hard...meaning there are not too many layers or things I need to add on, nor are they too simple that I feel like there's not enough on the card.  Thanks to the ladies who have provided these fun sketches. :)

Anywhoo...the other day I posted a card saying I was in the mood to do some water coloring.  After I finished the apple blossom birthday card I went on to make this card.  This stamp really needed some loving because it's the only one I hadn't used yet out of the Moon Lake set.  The other two stamps are what I would call masculine, but I think this one is feminine.   What a fun picture to "paint".

This is the sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Make sure you check them out HERE.  Lots of fun cards created using this sketch. :)

Just a couple more pics for you to look at.  I love it when there are two or more pics of someone's card on their blog.  I have no idea why, but I just do so that's why I always try to post two or three pics myself. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Apple Blossom Birthday

Today's card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #179.  It's a clean and simple sketch and I love that about it.  I was in the mood to do a little water coloring...if that's what you call it when using an aqua painter. lol  Either way I enjoyed it even though it's a little time consuming.

I used Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Sahara Sand ink pads to color in my flowers.  I stamped a little on the inside and you can see it peeking out of the top left corner in the first picture I took of my card.

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that I told you I liked so much.  Make sure you check out the great cards by the design team if you haven't had a chance yet.  It's always fun to see how one sketch inspires so many different creations.

Walk in the Wild ~ Masculine Birthday

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. :(  I've been sitting here this morning before heading into work going through pics of cards that I have that I haven't posted yet.  I have to say there are a few out there.  A lot of them were inspired by other cards that I've seen out there and a few are some pretty close cases.  I'll have to start posting them in the next few weeks in between the new cards I make. :)

Anyway today I have a clean and simple masculine card to show you that's inspired by this week's sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Love the sketches they've had lately.  Something about them just helps me be creative.  Even though this one is simple I still love it. :)

Just a little peek inside. ;)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Christmas Beach

Are you ready to check out a few Christmas cards?  If you're thinking, "No way! I'm done with the cold and winter" you might want to check these cards out anyway.  This time around we have an inspiration photo from 'Tis the Season and it has a beach with Christmas ornaments on it.  That ought to make you think of warm weather! :)  I have to admit my imagination did not go wild with this photo.  I pretty much copied the idea that was in the inspiration photo...beach and bulbs. lol  That's ok.  I had a lot of fun creating these two cards and trying to figure out how to make them at least a little bit Christmasy.  At any rate I hope you enjoy the cards I made. :)

Make sure you stop by 'Tis the Season HERE and check out all the other great cards made by the designers.  Plus take a bit to play along with the challenge.  We'd love to see what you create. :)

Just a couple more pics of each card a little bit closer.  I have to tell you those ornaments were a bugger to make!  Lots of small detail work is what they were. lol

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Too Kind Tuesday

Today's card is inspired by Try Stampin' on Tuesday's sketch challenge #210.  Another fun sketch to work with!  I needed another card for this month's stamp a stacks and wanted to use a set that's been out for a while, but hasn't had much love lately.  I pulled out the set Too Kind and went to work with it.  I think I posted yesterday that I wanted my cards to be pretty simple this month.  What I didn't post is that I wanted them to be simple for the ladies to make, not look to simple (if that makes any sense) and be quick for me to prep!  I think I managed to do all three for the stamp a stack I'm doing tonight.  It's for a new group of ladies except the one that's hostessing and I'm pretty excited! :)

Make sure you head over to Try Stampin' on Tuesday HERE.  Lots of talented ladies making cards to go along with this sketch.  It's always so fun to see completely different ideas made from the same sketch.  We's love to have you play along too, so if you get a chance head to your craft area and show us what you've got! :)

Just a couple more pics of the card at different angles.  It's hard to tell in any of these pics, but I did spritz my card with smooch spritz to make it shimmer. :)  And of course I added a touch of stamping on the inside too.  I think you can see a bit of the other side on the inside in the first pic up top.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Guy Greetings Birthday

Wow it's been a while since I've posted anything!  I guess that's what happens when life gets busy!  Today I have a masculine card to show you that I'm doing for this month's stamp a stacks.  It's pretty clean and simple and that's the way I want all of my cards this month...ok maybe all but one. ;)  I've got to give the ladies a break every now and then and make the cards relatively simple. :)

My inspiration comes from a couple of different challenges.  Make sure you check them out.  Lots of great inspiration from each of the design team members!  The first is Freshly Made sketches.  Their sketches are clean and simple and like I said that's what this card is all about.

The colors come from Sunday Stamps color challenge.  The colors are saffron, black, white and rust.  I used Stampin' Up! colors so they are So Saffron, Basic Black, Whisper White and Cajun Craze.

A quick peek inside shows just a little bit of stamping.  I like to put just a touch of something inside my cards because I don't always have a sentiment in there especially if I've put Happy Birthday on the outside already.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Merry Christmas Newborn King

Yes, I have another Christmas card to share with you today. :)  We have a fun sketch for you to play along with at 'Tis the Season Christmas card challenge.  I kept this card pretty clean and simple and used some purples since I haven't been using those colors at all lately.

Head on over to 'Tis the Season HERE to check out all the other great Christmas cards created by the designers using this sketch and if you get a chance make sure you play along too.  Christmas will be here before you know it and it will be nice to have a stash of Christmas cards on hand!

I feel like this year I'll get a lot of use out of all of the different Christmas stamp sets I bought from the Stampin' Up holiday catalog last year.  I've got plenty of time and I'm curious to see what I'll create throughout the year.

Blue Beauty

Today's card is made using the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Love this sketch and how my card turned out. :)  Plus it was pretty simple to make other than fussy cutting the flower.

Make sure you head over to Try Stampin' on Tuesday HERE to check out the other cute cards made using this sketch and show us what you can create with it.

Just a couple more pics at different angles.  It's hard to tell in the pics, but I used dimensionals to pop up the flower and leaves.

You can't see it in this picture, but I did use vanilla smooch spritz to make my flower sparkle. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
