Birthday Traveler

How about another masculine card today?  I love making them, and this time I've simplified it a bit compared to the ones I've made lately.  Yup, it's pretty simple, but has plenty of layers so it's not boring.  It was inspired by Try Stampin' or Not on Tuesday sketch challenge #230, and of course I love the layout of this one too.  Lots of great sketches to work with at Try Stampin'. :)

I also made my own candy dots for this card.  I never have enough to go around when I have a stamp a stack so I make my own.  And I'll be making more of these little buggers since this is one of my August stamp a stack cards. :)   If you'd like to know how I made them check out my post HERE.  I used them on my convention swap cards and took a few pics and explained how. :)

Here's the sketch and you can do just that or add in the inspiration from the picture.  As you can tell I didn't do the inspiration part.  I don't have any ice cream or cookies stamps...can you believe it! lol

Just a quick peek on the inside.  Most of the time I like to add just a little something there.  Plus it fills up space so I don't need to write as much!  No, I am NOT a writer!  One of the reasons I kinda started making cards was so people would look at them, think they were nice and not pay attention to my lack of words! lol

Make sure you head over to Try Stampin's blog HERE to check out the other great cards made using this sketch. :)  If you get a chance make sure you play along too...we'd love to see what you create!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
