Today's card was inspired by Journey Sketches - sketch #4 on Facebook.

I heat embossed my image with white embossing powder on watercolor paper and used Liquid Colors from Fun Stampers Journey to color it in.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Below are the colors that I used. Usually I don't say anything about them, but I did use Candy Apple Liquid Color even though it doesn't look like it. I painted each flower completely with Banana Cream (a light yellow), then while it was still wet I added a very watered down Candy Apple. That's why it appears pink. I also used the Beach Ball ink pad, but I did triple stamping with it. That means I inked the stamp, stamped it twice on scrap paper, then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment. The Pool Play was too light in my opinion to see well enough. I also want to mention that I did a bit of masking so the leaves and two smaller flowers appeared in the background. As always all of the supplies I used are at the end of my blog post.
Whip Cream
Candy Apple
Banana Cream
Limeade Splash
Pool Play
Beach Ball
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Love your card. So pretty! Can you tell us how you got the speckled look on the petals?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lael! :) The speckled look on the petals and leaves is white embossing powder. Do you ever get extra embossing powder that sticks where it's not supposed to? That's what happened this time and I decided to run with it instead of trying to get it all off. I sprinkled more on, flicked some of it off, used my heat gun then watercolored my flowers. :)
DeleteThanks...glad you like it and want to give it a try! :)
