Here are the cards I made for our Red Hot Stampers holiday catalog swap. I don't have a lot of sets from the catalog, and wasn't sure what to do. I wanted to use a set, but not for its intended purpose, plus I wanted to work with colors that I don't use that often. I decided to use the set Evergreen with Baja Breeze card stock and make a reflection scene. :)
And here are the cards I got from the Red Hot swap. Love making one card and coming home with different ones! :) Oh, one card was actually coasters...what a cute idea. :) Thanks for the lovely swaps, ladies!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

OMG Sara!!! What a beautiful card!!! So u embossed the trees first then stamped over them in ink or vise versa? Then did u brayer the delicate designs EF to get the blue behind it? WOW, what a card. U did a G8 job!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, I embossed the trees. However first I stamped with VersaMark, then re-inked the stamp with versa mark followed with Baja Breeze and stamped that again just a little bit off where I had previously stamped with just the versa mark. Then I put on clear embossing powder. I actually sponged the Baja Breeze on the card, just gently dabbing it until I got the darkness I wanted. I did the same thing over the area where the embossing folder is at the bottom of the card. No brayering on this card. :) I also sponged the shadows, but those I dragged versus dabbed to get a different effect. Hope that all makes sense!
