Blooming with Kindness

It seems like the last card I come up with for my stamp a stack always happens to be my favorite out of the group.  This card was pretty simple to make and only took Whisper White card stock.  I'm not usually a ribbon person even though I put it on a lot of cards.  I like how it looks, but it's not always the easiest to work with.  Believe it or not I love the new In Color satin ribbon!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Need for Speed

Good morning...today's card is the only masculine card the ladies made at my July stamp a stack.  I think it was the easiest of the five cards to make this time too.  Yup, guy cards are usually pretty simple and to the point.  Not so sure they'd enjoy getting a card with a lot of flourishes and flowers on it anyway. lol

To those of you who are new to my blog via my facebook page, welcome, and thanks for liking my page!  I've already posted one of the five cards earlier that we made.  I think (yes, think) this one was my second favorite for the month.  To see the card click here...it's the second card. :)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

RHSSC Bird Builder

It's Sunday so that means it's time for another Red Hot Stampers' sketch challenge.  I'll admit I had no idea what I should put on today's card, but my mom pointed out a bird on a card using the Bird Builder punch at my last stamp a stack, and I thought I should give it a try.  Yup, I've had the punch for quite a while and never made a bird out of it.  Guess there's a first time for everything!

Head over to the Red Hot Stampers' blog here to check out a few more cards with this sketch.

Delicate Doilies - 2

Well, I see I have a couple of cards that I never posted just hanging out in my blog waiting to be shown. lol  These were made to feature the Delicate Doilies die.

This second card was inspired by Lauri over at Paperville Crafts...such a cute card.  I didn't have the delicate designs embossing folder yet, so I improvised a little bit.  That's what's so great about making cards.  You can see a card to get ideas, but improvise when you don't have "everything" out there...although I was pretty close with this one!

Field Flowers

Ok, this isn't really a new post, but I wanted to enter two cards into this week's Stamping 411 challenge and can't have the same link for them. So...here's card number two. :)

Blooming with Kindness or Field Flowers?

Here are a couple of cards I made while trying to come up with something for my stamp a stack using this week's Stamping 411 challenge.  I started with the bottom layers on the second card (Island Indigo base, and very vanilla sponged with soft suede) with the embossed flower from the top card.  I did NOT like the soft suede with that flower at all.  So I started over and didn't sponge any soft suede.  Definitely liked how the top card turned out.  Well, I couldn't let the other paper go to waste, so I though I'd use a different stamp and put some soft suede in it.  Yup, I like that one too.  Now to decide which one to use for my stamp a stack, so I put it to a vote in my house. lol  Everyone chose the second card, so that's the one I'm doing...less prep time for me too! :)

Happy Birthday Little Sis

Today is my sister's birthday and I wanted to make her a special card.  She loves stargazer lilies so I thought I would make a few to put on a card for her.  I had no idea what I wanted the design of the card to look like, so I did a little roaming around and came across Joanne's beautiful card.  Not so hard to put your three lilies on a card when you have something like this to follow!  Thanks, Joanne, for the inspiration!

It starts with a pretty simple looking box...

...and ends with a lovely card!
