Today I have a card to share with you that I made for my niece's birthday and it was inspired by the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.
This was a pretty simple card to make with just a touch of watercolor. I usually paint a faint or pale blue around everything, but I was running out of time so I did a bit of splattering instead (which also counts as the optional theme that I'll mention later).
I couldn't resist using Nature's Harvest stamp set because all of my cone flowers are in full bloom right now and they are SO beautiful!! I bought them early last fall and didn't think a couple of them would make it, but they all did! These are a most of the plants.
Here is the sketch that we followed along with the optional theme which is polka dots. My polka dots are the splatters I did instead of the light blue background.
Make sure you check out what the rest of the team made using this sketch HERE. If you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
Sara

Sara, oh clever you on working in the theme of polka dots in TWO ways... the splatters and the paper holes on the side instead of scallops!! Your cone flowers are pretty in real life AND on your card! -Donna
