Lakeside ~ A Fun Stampers Journey Card

It's HERE!!  The Inspiration Book & Catalog 2018-2019 is finally here!
Today's card is featuring ALL six new Specialty Colors that you can check out in the link to the catalog below!

I made this special card for my hubby's birthday yesterday.  I tried to keep it very simple because I wanted the colors to stand out.  That's why I chose one of the new stamp sets called Lakeside.  It's a great set to use featuring all the new colors.  I think they're fantastic, don't you?

I used the direct to paper technique and little bit of sponging to add the color to my background.  I started at the top with Rustic Rose and moved my way down ending with Tin Pail.  Once I had the background done I added my stamps using Black Licorice.  After I stamped my images on I used my sponges and rubbed color wherever I wanted the colors filled in.  I put the picture on Black Licorice card stock and use Chambray Shirt for the base.  This is a quick and simple masculine card!
