Today's card uses the spotlight technique and was inspired by Try a Sketch on Tuesday #676 and the Double Trouble Challenge #197.
Here is the sketch that I worked with for Try a Sketch on Tuesday. I also added a few extras from the Double Trouble Challenge. Make sure you check out what the designers created HERE using the sketch and if you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create!
I forgot to mention earlier that I used ink that was in the lid of my ink pad to color in the flowers using a water pen. This is a quick and simple way to watercolor. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Thank you, Dalis! It's such a fun technique to try!
DeleteGreat job on your watercoloring... love the image and your spotlight. Beautiful card. Just a reminder to enter your card in Double Trouble, and maybe even include in Triple B for another chance in our random draw, check out DTC post for link.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Suzanne! I was so busy the last week I didn't get a chance to add it to the other challenges. :(
DeleteOutstanding card, Sara! This is one of my favorite SU stamp sets, but I resisted the urge to purchase it. After seeing your lovely card, I may have to rethink my decision. This was the perfect image for your Spotlight technique.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melanie! I do love this technique! Hopefully you decided to purchase this stamp set. There are so many beautiful cards you could create with both stamps!
DeleteI thought I had commented on your card, and wondering if I sent it, or maybe you are away and have not accepted your comments. Just want to remind you, you still have one day to enter your beautiful card at Double Trouble. Great spotlight technique. Please share with us at Double Trouble for chances to our random drawing.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, you did comment and I appreciate you reminding me! However life got in the way this past week, so I never added anything to the other challenges.
