Today's card is a little unique because the sketch over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday is as well...
I thought I would make a card spotlighting some flowers in the moonlight because that's the vibe I was feeling with this week's sketch.
I masked a circle for the moon and the lighted area where I wanted to stamp the flower. Then sponged everywhere else using blues and purples to create a night sky.
This is the sketch we had to use which is definitely out of the norm, but I think all the ladies on the team managed to make great cards using it. Make sure you check them out HERE and if you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create! I also entered my card in the Double Trouble challenge Thing 3 - include seasonal flowers of any kind on your card.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Moon with the white highlight and blending of the sky makes a beautiful background for your floral. Don't forget to share with Double Trouble 3-2-1 recipe to be eligible for top 3 and random draw.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne! I almost forgot to share with Double Trouble! Thanks for the reminder!
DeleteOh, so lovely, Sara! That stamp and die set is a fairly new addition to my stash, and I have used it quite a bit. I love how you applied it to our sketch - the moonlight is just brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melanie! I love using that set too! 🙂
DeleteSara, what a creative and beautiful card you've created! As soon as I saw it I thought of moonlight and the special breed of petunias that glow after dark!! You did a wonderful job pairing TSOT and Double Trouble's challenge elements to create your card. Thank you so much for sharing with both of us!!! -Donna
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna! I've never heard of those kind of petunias. I'll have to check them out.
DeleteWhat a great way to use the sketch and that's one of my favourite SU sets too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at the Double Trouble Challenge.
