Today's card is from a retired Christmas Stampin' Up! set that I love and have used for a lot of Christmas cards. I can't resist using blues and purples together when I stamp with it and it was inspired by sketch #660 at Try a Sketch on Tuesday.
To create this card I stamped the poinsettia and three leaves using VersaMark on watercolor paper then heat embossed the images with silver embossing powder. I used Stampin' Ink refills and water painters mixed with a little water to watercolor everything. Once it was dry I fussy cut them out. I also heat embossed the berries in silver on the card base, then attached the purple "X" on the card and stamped and cut out the sentiments and attached them to the card.
This is the sketch we have for the next two weeks. If you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create!
Make sure you check out what all of the other designers created using this sketch HERE.Remember all products used are listed at the bottom of each post.
