Today's card was a fun one to paint. I had to whip it together pretty quickly, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It was inspired by Try a Sketch on Tuesday #648.
I stamped the image with StazOn Black, covered the sun area with a mask and painted everywhere lightly using Balmy Blue, then pulled off the mask and added Azure Afternoon into the sky and Coastal Cabana to the water. Next I used Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Garden Green and Shaded Spruce on the leaves and grassy areas. I used Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso for the dock, Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight for the chair and the cup is Poppy Parade. The rocks are Crumb Cake, Smokey Slate and Gray Granite as well as the ducks with a little added Shaded Spruce, Azure Afternoon and Pumpkin Pie. Let's just say I hade a lot of ink pads on my desk this time!
Here is the sketch that we used this time.Make sure you check out all of the great cards the designers created HERE. If you get a chance to play along we'd love to see what you create!

DeleteVery pretty one payer card Sara. I find those very challenging but you have added so much with your coloring...nice job!
ReplyDeleteWow, great coloring and beautiful relaxing scene... I'd love to be sitting out on that bench. Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne! I'd love to be sitting on that chair right now too! Well, it's late now, but on a sunny day for sure! :)
DeleteLove how you layered your beautiful flowers according to the sketch challenge, beautifully colored and layered. You link was showing as unpublished because the link you gave in DT FB was month 06 and it published on 07 but has been corrected in our TSOT challenge posting.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne and thanks for the correction as well! The date has messed me up before!
