Today's card is a pretty clean and simple one inspired by the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge. Since I had pulled this set out to show to someone at my stamp a stack I thought I would use it since it's been a while. Plus I needed a birthday card for my nephew. :)
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteIs there a secret as to how to stamp the squares so the come out even.
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, I thought I sent a reply to you as soon as I read your comment. I just came back to copy and paste how i made this card from here to someone else who just asked me about it and there's nothing here! Sorry about that. I've noticed I had four comments not post today and that's not including what I just had typed up to send to you. Nothing like lots of typing only to have it disappear! lol Anyway here's what I did to make this card... I used a technique called triple-layered stamping, or at least it's called something like that. If you haven't heard of it here's a video I watched when I first heard of the technique...http://dostamping.typepad.com/dostamping_with_dawn/2012/06/triple-time-stamping-video-creative-elements-and-new-naturals-designer-buttons.html I took that technique and applied it in a different way...made it smaller and not as many layers. I took the main piece of card stock that I was stamping on (crumb cake) and placed the three very vanilla squares where I wanted them on the card with just enough tape so they stayed in place, but so I could take them off after I stamped. Once I did all of my stamping I took them off and taped them to the basic black squares. From there I taped them back onto the crumb cake piece that I stamped on positioning them just right. If I remember correctly I did need to use my markers to kind of connect some of the branches because I didn't stamp quite hard enough and there was a little bit of a gap. I hope everything I said makes sense!
DeleteLove your card. The twist on the triple layer technique is very inventive.. Quite stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda! :)
