Merry Christmas!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas today!

I was asked by my dad to make a card for my mom since he likes to give her one every year.  Sure, no problem. :)  Since I was doing water coloring at the time I decided to give it a try again using the retired set Evergreen.  I really like how this one turned out. :)

And another pic from the side.

Thanks for looking and have a Merry Christmas!

  1. So pretty, Sara! I love the shape of your hills, and you got the perfect amount of bleed on those trees. Really gorgeous!

  2. This is absolutely beautiful. I'd love to know what order the steps are, I'd love to recreate this, maybe as a happy winter card.

    1. Thank you, Diane! I saw a video by Heather on Splitcoast, but you can also see it here on her blog... http://cards.heathertelford.com/2014/11/26/falling-snow-video-tutorial/ She does an awesome job water coloring! You should check out her other posts too if you love the watercolor look. I tried to follow her steps and maybe you're a better painter than me and you can too. :) However my trees kept bleeding too much so I ended up starting at the top of my card, adding in the blue background, drying it with my heating tool, then stamping the trees and using water and a paintbrush to give it the watercolor look. I kept repeating that process until I got to the bottom of my card. :) I hope that makes sense, but if not and you have any questions let me know.

    4. Glad what I wrote made sense after you watched the video. I never know if what I write will make sense when other people read it, but it sounds like it does. :) After I saw Heather's video I went out and bought a few supplies that I needed so I could give it a try too! I'd love to see what you create if you don't mind showing me.
